Hanaikada Experience

(Flower Raft)

Originally, the word "Hanaikada" was used to describe a series of petals scattered on the surface of the water that flowed together to form a raft. At our inn, we make a cloth with flowers woven into it and float it down a stream in memory of the story of Osen-Chan and the Sengataki waterfall. Please experience it for yourself and take to heart Osen-Chans tale.
*We may not be able to float them down the river due to weather conditions.

Weaving with a wish Floating with a wish

Visitors can experience making a flower raft using the loom at the inn, weaving flowers into a raft and floating it in the stream next to the inn. You can use either indigo-dyed fabric or torn fabric. Choose from a wide variety of materials. There are no rules for the design. Why not create your own original flower raft while having fun and devising ways to make it float on the water.

You can take your flower raft home even after floating it down the river. We can also frame the rafts, so please let us know.

Experience fee

The flower-raft experience is included in the room rate. Please choose your favorite experience for the day.
